5. Stress-Free Day Trip: Hampton Court Palace

This historic palace, once home to Henry VIII, makes for a perfect day trip experience without the hassle of advance train reservations or complicated planning. The terrain and maze are immense and offer hours of exploration. Although I haven’t been yet, Tudor’s simple logistics and rich history make it a must-see for travelers with a day to spare. Need to escape? Kew Gardens is a magnificent and huge UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers stunning nature all year round.
