What to do in London in February

January 29, 2026

This month may not have the sparkle of Christmas or the long daylight hours of summer, but there are still tons of things to do in February in London. After living here since 2013, I’ve learned to appreciate this quieter month. February is the perfect time to explore without the usual crowds. Well, at least with the exception of the semester from February 16 to 20, 2026.

As the weather is still grey, I tend to recommend more indoor activities for people who want to enjoy London.

This year I am particularly excited about the new and old shows taking the stage.

Beyond the theater, there are free activities in London, candlelit concerts, immersive exhibitions and plenty of cozy places to escape the cold. A bar crawl or a day wandering around Greenwich, Notting Hill or Leadenhall Market makes a great romantic weekend away. Whether you’re visiting or a local looking for new ideas, I’ve put together a list of activities to make the most of February in London.
