Chicken strips are my all time favorite. I ordered it often. It’s also very easy to make at home. The recipe is the same as my potato wedge recipe, with the coating being crispy and not very spicy.

About Chicken Strips

Chicken strips, also known as chicken tenders or chicken fingers, are an easy appetizer you can make with chicken. The recipe is very simple, all the flavors come from the mixture of spices that we prepare. You can add all the seasonings and spices to a blender and blend a few times until everything comes together. Divide them between wet and dry coatings. This coating makes the chicken strips super tender, flavorful and juicy.

I made this yesterday and it became my favorite. This was so easy to make, but the taste is just fantastic. It’s so healthy because you cook them and the chicken was so juicy. I served it with pickle mayonnaise, I am recently addicted to these pickles, they are so delicious, I can’t stop eating them by themselves.

When I was looking for a dip to serve this with, I thought about making a pickle mayonnaise with red pepper sauce and a little sugar to balance out all the acidity. It turned out delicious.

Step by step photos

1) Take all the seasoning spice mix ingredients in a blender and blend it a few times. I used a combination of parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary, salt, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Once roughly crushed, set aside.

2) Instead of crushing them in a blender, you can mix them in a bowl.

3) Take your boneless chicken breast.

4) Cut the chicken breast into strips.

5) Take the buttermilk in a bowl and add half of the buttermilk seasoning spice mix and mix well.

6) taste this and adjust the salt and seasoning.

7)Add the chicken breast to the buttermilk and mix well. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

8) Take the flour, baking powder and cornstarch in a bowl. Add the remaining half of the seasoning spice blend to the flour and mix well.

9) This is your dry mix.

10)Now take your marinated chicken breast, take the chicken and coat it generously with flour.

11) Press and coat it well.

12) Set aside on a rack so that it dries a little.

13) Heat the oil for frying, place the chicken strips in the hot oil and fry on medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

14)Use a slotted spoon and drain it on absorbent paper. Serve.

15) Chicken strips ready to serve.

18) Chop it very finely.

19)Take mayonnaise, red chilli sauce, sugar and chopped pickles in a bowl.

20) mix well. that’s your dip. enjoy with chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 big Boneless chicken breast
  • 1 cup Buttermilk

For the flour mixture

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Cornflour
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • Sunflower oil for frying

To season the spice mixture

  • 2 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

For the Pickle Mayonnaise Dip

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon Red pepper sauce
  • 3 No Pickle finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  • Take all the seasoning spice mix ingredients in a blender and blend it a few times. Cancel.

  • Cut the chicken breast into strips. Take the buttermilk in a bowl and add half of the buttermilk seasoning spice mix and mix well. Add the chicken breast to the buttermilk and mix well. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Take the plain flour, cornstarch and baking powder on a plate. Add the remaining half of the seasoning spice blend to the flour and mix well.

  • Now take your marinated chicken breast, remove the chicken from the marinade and coat it generously with flour. Set aside on a rack to dry a little.

  • Heat the oil for frying, place the chicken strips in the hot oil and fry over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon and drain on absorbent paper. Serve with pickle dip.

  • for the dip, mix all the ingredients and serve with chicken.
